Shipping and Deliveries

Contemporary Plan will arrange for your order to be shipped via the most dependable, quickest, and safe way possible. We work with common shipping companies such as New Penn, YRC Freight, UPS, FedEx, DHL as well as privately owned shipping companies specializing in furniture delivery and assembly.

Please note that Contemporary Plan is not responsible for the furniture assembly, unless "White Glove Delivery" was selected during checkout as delivery method.

Due to freight forwarders shipping rate change, modification, and remoteness of your location - sometimes we are not able to offer free shipping on certain items to certain locations. When this occurs we will offer you either to get a refund right away or pay for the additional charges that are required to deliver to your location.

Shipping Types:
- Curbside Delivery : Carrier will bring your goods on the truck curbside of your address, and you will be responsible for accepting shipments as well as bringing it to your residence. If you live in tower apartments, shipment will be outside of your apartment complex.
- Inside Delivery: Carrier will bring your goods indoors in covered area, such as garage, under patio, detached garage - were goods are able to be moved in without altering any part of the property such as doors, gates and any obstacles. Due to liability carrier will not bring it into areas such as living room, bedroom and upstairs. Carrier will not assemble nor remove any packing materials. If you live in apartments - it is up to carriers discretion if it can be moved inside with minimal risks. If you've purchased inside delivery and live in apartment building and carrier is unable to bring it to your apartment, delivery will be performed nearest indoor location of your building
- Expedited Shipping - We will make sure to inspect, package, palletize and ship it priority to our other orders and will be shipped with fastest ground shipping method possible.
- Expedited Inside Delivery - All services of Inside delivery plus we will make sure to inspect, package, palletize and ship it priority to our other orders and will be shipped with fastest ground shipping method possible.
- White Glove Delivery - Where applicable, you will see this option - carrier will bring your goods inside (up to 3 flight of stairs), assemble it and haul debris. No removal of any old furniture

At the present time Contemporary Plan ships to addresses in the Continental United States. Shipping costs as well as "Free Shipping" specials are therefore only valid for addresses in the Continental United States. If you are interested in shipping your order to Hawaii, Alaska, or Canada please contact us to obtain a quote for additional shipping and/or duty charges that may apply. Please note that these quotes will be based on the destination of the shipment as well as the dimensions, weight and value of the items in question.

Delivery Timeframe
Most deliveries are completed within 1 week however depending on location and volume some deliveries can take an additional 1-3 weeks after the shipping date. If you need your item urgently it is best to call us to get delivery estimate at 888-201-9045. You can check the status of your delivery timeframe online through the carrier's web site or by telephone. Our carriers will contact you a day or two prior to arrival to set up a delivery timeframe with you.

All delivery date estimates listed on our website are approximate and we always strive to adhere to them as closely as possible. Unfortunately, these estimates are dependant on product availability from the manufacturer as well as shipping delays en route to our facility. Therefore we cannot be held responsible for beating or exceeding originally expected delivery estimates that are caused by factors that are beyond our control.

Unsuccessful Deliveries
If, after numerous attempts made by Contemporary Plan to deliver purchased goods and customer was not available to accept the delivery, we reserve the right to recall all merchandise for a full refund of the purchase price, less all shipping and handling costs that are incurred by us as a result. The same applies if a customer is not available to accept a delivery at a previously arranged time after an appointment had been scheduled and the delivery cannot be completed. Items offered with free shipping are dependent upon customer location and size of order. We reserve the right to alter this offer should your zip code lie outside standard delivery routes. In addition, orders for items with weights that are more heavy than usual or expected may need to be readjusted for extra unforeseen fees. No additional fees will be charged without notifying the customer and obtaining prior approval.
